‘Angel’s Face helps you create your individual look; your unique style to match your personality. When I design, I am creating a daydream, inspiring you to become who you want to be- magnificent, fierce, incredible… From super-cool fashionista to romantic princess.’ Managing Director & Angel’s Face Designer Keely Deininger.
Christmas is fast approaching, which means fabulous new winter collections! I had the pleasure of viewing Angel’s Face Christmas 2016 range as well as their Summer 2017 collection and new Resort 2017 range. The ever so popular children’s brand which began 9 years ago with the full-ruffle tutu packaged in the iconic striped hat box, has now moved on over the years providing a full range of girlswear. Angel’s Face is now an international brand stocked in over 300 stores worldwide including London’s Selfridges, John Lewis and House of Frasier. The woman behind this brand’s success is Keely Deininger. She is the Director and Fashion Designer responsible for enriching little girl’s wardrobes near and far with the UK’s no.1 tutu and pettiskirt!
As a former fashion designer for the likes of H&M, Topshop and Marks and Spencer, where she became the design director for one of their main suppliers, Keely realised that she wanted to go it alone. Raising her family shifted her priorities and she wanted the flexibility of wanting to watch her children grow up, so she branched out and created her very own business.
She began her solo career with a brand called Little Linens; beautifully made linen clothing for boys. Then inspired by her youngest daughter Trinity, wanted to create a girlswear range and launched Angel’s Face, which began with the award-winning frilly tutu’s. With these being such a huge success it became apparent that she needed to ‘run’ with this brand and knew she could develop it much further.
Today the collection consists of beautiful separates to create the prettiest of outfits. From delicate princess skirts made from lace, to sparkly cardigans, bow detailed tops, fluffy gilet’s, chunky knitted jumpers and accessories to compliment. Bow’s for your hair, ballet pumps with sumptuous ribbon, snoods and Pom Pom hats. The attention to detail is second to none. The iconic angel wings adorn most items whether it be as a statement design in sequins, or a small gold charm detail. You can find everything from satin and lace formalwear to loungewear in luxuriously soft velour and jersey. Casual T’shirts provide a staple piece for your girls’ wardrobe and would team well with a pair of jeans or pettiskirt! I particularly fell in love with the striped pyjamas and am disappointed they don’t come in my size! They have the prettiest ruffled shoulder detail, come in two colour ways (pink and lavender) and best of all….are packaged in a cotton drawstring bag!
Here are some of my top key pieces for Christmas; The cosy Pom-Pom hat, with two faux fur poms. The scarf/ glove combo otherwise known as the Smitten, to keep both neck and hands warm during the winter months. With added ‘sparkle’ detailing on the mitten area. And finally the glamorous faux fur snood (a firm favourite), set to finish off any outfit this festive season! The colour palette for these is wonderful. My favourite being the ‘Ash’. I think it’s good to know that you don’t need to match the colour ways. Because of the muted tones, they compliment each other and can just as effectively work well if you were to mix and match.
I had a super evening at the launch of the Christmas range and viewing of the Summer and resort range for 2017. Hosted at the stunning Home House in London’s West End, yummy cocktails were provided by Bloom, London Dry Gin- which I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed despite not being the biggest fan of Gin!
My only regret is that I have two BOYS and no girls of my own to enjoy the Angel’s Face brand! Visit www.angels-face.co.uk to view the full range.
