With my birthday recently just gone, I was invited with a friend to get a professional blow dry done at Duck and Dry’s flagship salon in Chelsea. Usually at my regular hairdressers, I request a rough dry because I live a stones throw from the salon, so this was my first ever professional blow dry! Duck and Dry and renowned for being London’s finest blow dry’s and updo’s and have sites in the West End, Spitalfields and Chelsea.
My friend Bethie and I share the exact same birthday, so we met up an hour beforehand for a celebratory glass of fizz to toast ourselves (start as you mean to go on I say!) at Bluebird on the Kings Road. Conveniently a few doors up is Duck and Dry which has recently had it’s own makeover and been refurbished. I have to say, as treats go, this was a real treat AND they’re offering bottomless prosecco for only £8 throughout December! We were warmly welcomed and shown to our seats where we had our own consultations. The luxurious decor provides for a calming and relaxing time. This was just what us two girls needed, not only because we were celebrating and heading straight out afterward, but also because it’s so rare to fit in time for yourself and have a treat. As busy mums, that’s just not something you prioritise these days is it?
Whether you have anywhere to go or not/ an event/ special occasion or simply have some free time that you’d like to assign to yourself and not someone else, we all know how precious solo time is and for me going to have my hair done is the ultimate luxury. Time to just sit and be.
Ive not tried their other salons, but can highly recommend this Kings Road branch for excellent service and a beautiful professional blow dry!
