My BIG PINK Takeover for Breast Cancer Care Awareness

24th September 2017 By thatmummysmile Leave a Comment

I have been asked to be an ambassador for amplifying the importance of Breast Cancer Care Awareness and it is because of this that I have pledged to wear something PINK for every day of October and to help visually spread the message through my Socials.

I jumped on board the creative fundraising campaign The Big Pink by also hosting a PINK LADIES night local to me in Notting Hill. An evening of drinks and dancing, charity raffle and a room full of women wearing PINK!

Here are some Pics:

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and the lifetime risk of a woman developing breast cancer is 1 in 8

Every year, 62,000 people in the UK are told they have breast cancer. The diagnosis not only changes their lives forever, but also the lives of their family and friends. Breast Cancer Care understands the emotions, challenges and decisions people face every day. They know that everyone’s experience is different. That’s why they are there to offer support and information and campaign for better care.

Breast Cancer Care are the only specialist UK-wide charity providing support to people with breast cancer. Their free services include support over the phone with a nurse or someone who’s been there, welcoming online forums, reliable information and local group support. They’ll help people to live life with breast cancer and beyond. From the moment someone notices something isn’t right, through their treatment and beyond, Breast Cancer Care will be there.

691,000 people in the UK are currently living with a breast cancer diagnosis. Right now, Breast Cancer Care can’t reach everyone when they need them. With support, they can be here for more people, with care, support and information. By supporting Breast Cancer Care, you can be confident that you’ll be helping people through one of the most difficult challenges they will ever face.

Pink to make the boys wink!

14th February 2017 By thatmummysmile 1 Comment

As the saying goes ‘Pink to make the boys wink’ and with it being Valentine’s Day, I’m feeling all girlie and loving the mass of Pink and Red combinations currently taking over the shops right now! Pinterest is brimming with gorgeous images of street style to die for…and this unlikely colour combo works so well together so I’ve picked out some of my fav pieces from the high street to get you in the mood!

image

This dusty pink double breasted coat is from Zara and only £69.99. I love the boxy shape and sleeves hitting the wrists. Styled here with a beautiful metallic pleated skirt, a coat to take you through the seasons perfectly. image
Gingham is such a massive trend this season and this red gingham blouse hits the mark. It has balloon sleeves and a pretty gross grain ribbon tie at the back. The frilly details on the sleeves add a feminine touch. Find it here at Topshop for  £29.99

image

I saw this gorgeous snakeskin bag at the Next press show recently: new for SS17. It’s only £22 and would complement any outfit.

image

I love this casual soft pink jumper with asymmetric hem and flouncy frill details. It also comes in two additional colour ways. Team it with comfy denim or floaty skirt to show off those side slits! …Zara £19.99

image

Check out these little beauties, not only pink but pink metallic: WIN WIN! Grab yourself a pair of these Tassle loafers from ASOS for a bargain of £18. I think they’re fab!

image

Ive got my eye on so many embroidered pieces and we’re utterly spoilt for choice, but this beautiful red smock blouse from Next is just divine. It’s perfect for the summer months and in this vibrant colour with intricate detailing, you’ll certainly stand out.

image

Get all snuggled and cosy in this yummy oversized roll neck Topshop jumper. Perfect for layering and in the lightest pale pink.

image

I’ve got a serious crush on these open-toed ankle boots from Zara. In the softest most luxurious deep red leather, they’re so sexy. They have the cutest little heel and zip detail up the back. At £69.99 I think they’re worth every penny!

image

Another Gingham number and this time a tiered dress from Zara. I’m all about short dresses and getting my legs out! I love that it looks fab with ankle boots, but equally just as awesome with some bejewelled sandals!

image

What better than to finish this edit with some SPARKLE! This pink glitter cross-body bag is a enough to make any outfit shine. Evening or daytime for a bit of fun, it’s only £18 from River Island.

Here are some Pinterest mood boards to inspire your Red and Pink styling:
