Watermelons, ice-creams, lemons and glitter were all heavily featured in Cath Kidston’s Spring Summer 18 collection. On a freezing cold October London morning I went along to view the next season’s range at the press day in South Molton Street. I was transported quite literally from one season to the next…stripping off my scarf and coat as I arrived to be greeted by the sounds of ‘seagulls’ and sights of Candy floss, pool inflatables and giant ice-lollies!
SS18 promises to be a season all about the charm of the British Summertime. Kicking it off with animal inspired prints across home and fashion- bunnies, butterflies and cute tortoises. I saw lots of pretty floral prints, plenty of nautical stripes and an abundance of Cath Kidston spots in many variations.
On route into high summer, the mouth watering ice-cream & lolly prints are perfect for our summer holidays- with lots of colourful outdoor melamine picnic items and fun beach towels. I saw ice-cream motifs on espadrilles, blouses, accessories and homewares!
The children’s range is packed full of vibrant colours and the boy’s range looked particularly exciting. I know my Little stan would LOVE the dinosaur printed rucksack! Animals are always such a big hit with kids and this season sees the trusty Crocodile adorned on cute swimwear and bags. Little girls can be twinning with mummy in matching Watermelon printed items and mini cross-body bags.
Keep your eyes peeled for lots of loveliness from Cath Kidston via their website HERE.
