There is nothing more frustrating than something going wrong with your pushchair. Especially as you practically have to get out a mortgage to purchase one in the first place!! So you can imagine how annoyed I was when the folding mechanism on our Bugaboo Bee suddenly stopped working. To top it, I was in the thick of Kensington high street, just got the kids strapped into the car, then began cursing and growling at the buggy as I was tussling to get it collapsed.
Apparently it was going to cost us approximately £200 to get Bugaboo to replace the chassis, as we were told that was our only option. Or so we thought, until a friend told me about Buggy Pitstop. They are a professional buggy repairs and servicing company based in Wembley, London. We made an appointment for an express repair service which takes one hour.
Buggy Pitstop are based at a unit within a business centre. When you walk in you can see endless pushchairs stored on large shelves, and the smell of packaging and rubber! They have parts and supplies for most big name Brands. Not only was our bugaboo fixed within the hour but they were super clean and efficient. One piece of advice (for Bugaboo users) they gave me which I wasn’t aware of, is that the buggy clips that most of us have to hang our shopping/ handbag/ nappy bag on, are not recommended by Bugaboo. Apparently the weight of the items hanging from the pushchair handle will effectively cause damage to the chassis’ folding mechanisms on the inside- hence why Bugaboo don’t actually sell their own buggy clips.
Having experienced them first hand and spent only £100 on repairs, Buggy Pitstop is a fantastic company offering a rewarding service to keep your childs’ chariots living that little longer! 😉
