Hunter+Boo is an ethical baby and children’s clothing brand, founded by sisters Beth and Sarah. Funnily enough, Sarah and I used to work together in the Buying office at Topshop, Arcadia… then a couple of month’s ago, I discovered Hunter+Boo and instantly fell in love with their 100% organic products, the philosophy and the ethical side of the manufacturing.
Having worked in Fashion myself, I know first hand how damaging and destructive the industry is. Consumers more and more are being blind sighted by the stories of the garments, where their products come from, who’s making them and in what conditions. With a huge focus these days on brand transparency and sustainable fashion being of such high importance, Hunter+Boo are helping lead the way in producing quality kids wear but ensuring they leave as light a footprint on the environment as possible.
Their clothing is produced in a small factory in Sri Lanka where they have built their relationships with the men and women who work there. All of the products are ethically made with 100% cotton and eco-dyes.
Beth is a mother to twins and her sister Sarah has recently joined her in the world of motherhood! Since becoming mums they were both very keen to build a brand whereby the clothes are versatile and simple in style, ultimately providing comfort, in fun and exciting prints inspired by their travels. Their new Spring/ Summer 2019 range continues to WOW with two new exciting bold prints- ‘Kaiyo’ print inspired by the deep ocean and ‘Yala’ which is a leopard print in both pink and blue colour ways.
Stanley has a shirt in the Palawan print and totally rocks it! Forget character T’s and garish Disney prints, it’s beautiful brands like Hunter+Boo that you should be investing in, because not only are they timeless and affordable, but you know the story and journey the garment has been on before you have it in your hands.
